This book has me chuckling and screaming of adorement. It’s so cute (in the end mostly)
I didn’t think that Darcy‘s gonna be with Alex but I immediately recognised all the signs that pointed to them liking each other and in the end getting together.
I still don’t forgive Brooke for what she did and I don’t like her an Ray tbh. She was such a cool character but went so downhill (my opinion)
Darcy is such a vibe tbh and I really like the Self-/Character Analysis that she does. I wanna do that too.
The whole thing with the Locker is a super cool concept and I’m really glad of how it ends (in the book) too because she seems so happy!
Darcy was 100% in the right in the argument with her mom where she said that her mom doesn’t really „know“ her and doesn’t listen/pay attention to her.
But i love how they grow from that and how their relationship gets better and more open

My fav scenes:
Finn on drugs, the whole Alex-is-super-wasted-and-gone-and-Ainsley-and-Darcy-have-to-rescue-him Scene, the pool scene in the end ;) and the „You’re queer“ scene (especially this one!!!!)

Ainsley is such a vibe tbh and she’s in general so cool and her hobbys to ykkk ahhhrh
Many important topics being talked about in this book>>>>

This book was so freaking adorable.

I loved Darcy and her journey to self-awareness and all the detours it took to get there.

I think we've all been in situations where giving advice is a lot easier than taking it (or in Darcy's case, reflecting on and working on her own situation).

This book was both delightfully entertaining and also subtly and gracefully informative on various LGBTQ+ topics like asexuality/aromanticism and internalized biphobia.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS!!! What a wholesome story. This gave me major classic 2000's teen movie  vibes, and I'm living for it! Highly recommend for a fun, fluffy read that will give you major throwback vibes.

I really enjoyed this teenage love and relationships story. I loved that it was quite educative with the relationship advices, and that it explored internalized biphobia. The characters are great, I enjoyed Darcy as a biased narrator, I really appreciated her relationship with her sister and big yes to this kind of casual unproblematic trans rep. The romance is super cute and it's a fast and very enjoyable read.

Perfect on paper is a cute book about a bi girl who gives romantic advice struggling with her own romantic life. It's an easy read that was largely very enjoyable.

The main character makes some big mistakes that are pretty manipulative and difficult to digest to her best friend. The book does try to have her own up and make amends, but there may be some who read that and feel that she is forgiven too quickly. Or even feel that the fact she is forgiven at all is questionable.

What I did like is that even though she makes those mistakes there are several friendships ( including one with one of the love interests) where she is open and the relationship feels a lot healthier.

Where this book shines is largely in the relationships. It's a sweet light enemies to lovers book with a mild misunderstanding trope. There is some lovely LGBTQ+ representation including a powerful bit about biphobia. There is also what felt like a good representation of divorce or unhealthy parental relationships. I definitely recommend the book but if very realistic outcomes are what you are looking for this book only kind of hits that mark.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review
