The characters very repetitive and the format makes it feel like these comics don’t work bundled together like this

this reads like a lot of insta webcomics and at times feel very chronically online, if you know you know. since i dont follow benji nate that closely, i wonder if they would work better on instagram, reading over time from post to post than in book form as the characters don't feel as nuanced or three dimensional they should. when/if you realise that every page is a instagram post expected to get a quick reaction, then the contents and actions of the characters make far more sense. i suppose the book just feels quite shallow and at times when the book tries become any deeper it feels unable really hit in the way you feel nate wants it to because of the platform they seems to be (perhaps unconsciously) writing for.

having said all that, im very excited to see where benji nate goes from here. i feel there is something so contemporary in how they write.
