I don't have much to say about this one. I went into it hoping for a festive read, and I didn't exactly get it. Despite what the cover implies, there's little festive cheer to be found here. I liked the sentiment - a middle-aged, selfish, emotionally hardened man who has been driven by money and fame gets given a second chance to redeem himself (like a modern day Scrooge, you could say) - I just didn't particularly like the execution. It was structured weirdly, ended abruptly and it didn't reach me emotionally like And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer did. It wasn't bad, but also probably not really worth the read in the grand scheme of things. Luckily, it's so short that it didn't take up more than half an hour of my time.
