I definitely see how this is polarizing and how you could easily get attached to one half of the story more than the other. I definitely think that the ending is more flat than I'd have liked

This book falls into the unlikeable narrator category. It slowly reveals the woman's disturbing past which helped make her the fairly hateful person she's become. There's a fair amount of language and some graphic content.
