Let me start by saying this was an okay book. Some might really enjoy it. It fell really flat for me and the only way I can sum up my issues with it is this: FORCED.

I love, love, love that Smartypants romance makes an effort for inclusion across all lines! But the inclusive part of this story seems very forced. It's thrown in there for effect and to meet a quota. It just doesn't feel very natural. Also forced is the humor. The scene with the Ben-wa Balls was easy to spot a mile away and served absolutely no purpose to the story other than being shoved in for some forced antics...? Not only was it not funny for me, but it was also not plausible.

I'm sorry, but this book just didn't do it for me.

3 Stars...not my favorite in the GVU.

I didn't hate this. But I didn't love it either. I did enjoy the side characters (Grandbea and the Golden Girls) but Zeke and Finley just didn't measure up to the other Green Valley Library couples (especially after Thuy and Drill)

Suffice it to say I did finish this in one sitting so I didn't hate hate this. It just wasn't everything I wanted.

This was a great quick read! I recommend this book if you’re looking for a low drama sweet book! Although I have to say my favorites were grandma, great aunt and the godmother!!

The H was given two different heights ... not catching details like that in editing obviously bothers me ... otherwise, this was good.

The summary wasn't very appealing to me, but I decided to give it a shot. I did like the story and the whole journey that Finley undergoes. The discussion about toxic relationships, even when it is not something obvious, was also something I really appreciated.

Shelf Awareness is the perfect tale of finding happiness when you least expect it! The story brings together two people who are broken in their own ways. This was my first book by Katie Ashley, and man did I fall hard and fast for these characters. I loved this story and was sad when it was over, as I could've stayed in their world for much longer.

Done with the series. This one didn’t have the same appeal as the others. I’m sad this is how the series ends when the other novels are so good. Finley and Zeke just don’t meet my standards for romance novels. And I hated the ending prologue. Here’s hoping the other series are good.

Many laugh out loud moments, would have loved Zeke's POV.
