This cat reminded me of my beloved Mia. The story was simple, but I loved the birds and the checklist in the dust jacket.

Mulberry, my cat, is irritated by this book. B, my 5 month old, likes it ok. (I love it, but this may be one to revisit later.)

This is a ex-library copy I picked up. Lu loves the cat because he looks so much like our cat. He also enjoyed hearing all the "bird words".

Love all the labels on birds and plants AND the birdcalls. Wish the cat's face held some expression though.

Ehlert's bright, collage-style pictures make for a snappy, cheerful story time.

Lois Ehlert's artwork never fails to capture the reader. For those readers out there who are particularly excited about bird watching, animals, and nature, this book is a great one! At the end of the book, there are details about each bird feature in the story. Great book to integrate with science in the classroom!

My granddaughter and i loved the bright, bold colors and the paintings of birds and flowers/plants. I love the story, but I'm sure to her it sounds like a Charlie Brown cartoon....
