Sweet book I loved as a kid! Still enjoyed it today. I’m still impressed that Claudia and Jamie could hide in a museum for a week AND take care of themselves in NYC. Would definitely be harder to do in this era with all the surveillance…but a fun little book anyways. Also, as a parent I’d be terrified if my children ran away like this!

What a sweet book!

I know this book has been around for decades but I never read it till now. I thought I’d read it and then maybe pass it to my niece and nephews. But I’m going to be honest, I want to keep it for myself :)

Claudia and Jamie decide to run away. Claudia is the oldest, she’s in 6th grade. Jamie is her younger brother but he’s the one with the biggest savings. Claudia suggests they run away together.

They manage to find their way to a museum and basically move in for a few days.

While there they discover a bit of a mystery and Claudia feels like she must solve the mystery before they return one.

This was very sweet and I look forward to seeing the movie.
