I really enjoy this series! Book 3 lost none of the fun or clever components of the first two books.

One of my favourite things about this series is its setting - New Orleans - and how well the author includes that flavour, with terms, foods, people's behaviour and other small moments that really makes you feel like you are there experiencing things.

The characters are all "characters" in the very best sense of the word, and are fun, likable interesting people doing exciting things as they try to solve the newest murder on Mystic Isle.

The mystery itself is well done and offers lots of fun aspects for the team to try to figure out.

And just for fun, there's a rogue alligator running amok around the resort, popping up and causing havoc at the most inopportune of moments, with Lurch and other members of the resort staff in hot pursuit right through the middle of other situations. The humour and cheekiness of these books is delightful!

Highly recommended if you enjoy cozy mysteries with fun characters, set in New Orleans.
