This was a cute read. It was easy an easy read. I also found it to be relaxing not to be reading something that was high stakes. Short sweet and to the point.

I picked up Bound by Honey while looking for something to while away a couple of hours at the greeter's desk. I found the story cute and sweet, but the writing was a bit juvenile for my tastes. I think I will recommend it to my 10 year old daughter instead. It is so cozy and cute and she will probably adore it.

This book transported me to a magical realm where Sage, a devoted bibliophile turned librarian, stumbles into an extraordinary escapade. The Charming Four, a captivating group of mages led by cursed Prince Finn, disrupts her serene life, infusing it with chaos and charm. Jamie Dalton weaves a spellbinding narrative, merging cozy mystery with low-risk, high-stakes fantasy romance. As Sage allies with her newfound companions to unravel Prince Finn's curse, the story overflows with potion brewing and enchanting creatures. While the romance blossoms swiftly, the book's brevity occasionally leaves certain relationships feeling undernourished. The genuine enchantment arises from Sage's camaraderie with her gargoyle friend Freddy, witty repartees with the Charming Four, and the captivating world-building. A part of the Starry Kingdoms of the Fae Collection, this cozy, standalone adventure is tailor-made for those who crave a fusion of magic, companionship and love within a concise narrative.

“Even books of fiction cam have hints of truth.”
I really wanted to enjoy this book, but I think it needed to go through a few more rounds of editing before being published. There was just so much going on in the story - which was totally fine! - but if all of that information was to be included there, then the book itself should have been longer than it really was to better accommodate all of its contents.
Cute and cozy story, just missing a few elements for my taste.

Oh wow, she's so lackadaisical in her approach to restricted books but then BARELY makes it back in time to save a book from what would be a meet-cute, except it has glaring, overhead signs flashing "MEET CUTE WITH ROYAL FAMILY"...which makes it not cute. It's like swallowingna Werthers candy too soon; sticks in your throat and takes the fun out of the story.
Only the 3rd DNF in my life.
