Ah. Here we go again.
What to say, what to say.
Hm. I just don’t think I’m the right demographic for these books. This is certainly the better book out the two I’ve read, but that doesn’t mean it was great.
What is up with these books being good and reeling me in, in the first half, but completely drops the ball in the second half.

And when I say I’m mostly not the right demographic, I mean it in the context of the “spicy” scenes. The dirty talk is simply ATROCIOUS. I had to put the book down multiple times and just stare into my wall contemplating my life, when I read wtf Rhys was saying. No sir. Don’t call her a wh0re. P l e a s e.

And before you say “maybe spice just isn’t for you-“. Yes, yes it is. I just don’t like the wording used. They felt misplaced and misused. And it was almost like the characters got a complete personality flip every time they had to do the devils tango.

The only reason this book doesn’t get 1 stars, is when I look past the cringy spice scenes, the storyline is actually interesting! And I actually enjoy Rhys and Bridget’s romance. Their story at least feels more fleshed out and less creepy than Christian with Stella (like dude, you were so creepy at times)

So I had a few things to say. And I’m definitely not gonna continue with this series, simply because it’s not for me.
