OMG I love this book so much! My only complaint is that I felt like it was slow at some moment ls but I can’t wait to read the second book and finish this crazy fun tale.

The Storm Crow had me hooked from page one.
Anthia is a wonderful and for once different character as I didn't come across a protagonist dealing with depression ever before. Her struggle and the ways she finds to overcome it were beautifully written and it helps that she has a great friend and protector in Kiva, who constantly reassures her and stays with her through everything.

I love how the author builds and describes the world the characters live in, the myths, the politics, the war, the different nations and the diversity.
The characters are well developed and I hope to read more about everyone!
Most notably Prince Ericen, who I think will surprise everyone. Caylus, who still has many secrets to share, and the ever mysterious Auma, whose role will be greater as the story moves on.

And never ever forget the Crows and how they represent each element. It's wondrous and magical and tragic and hopeful.

I fell in love with this book, how it handles depression and the gorgeous writing. I am so thankful to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Fire for allowing me to read this magical ARC!
This is high on my wishlist and an instant buy once it offically hits shelves.

After seeing a few reviews saying this book was disappointing, I was pleasantly surprised to discover I actually really enjoyed it.

I think the world, concept and characters are cool, I only wish things didn’t escalate so quickly at the end, with both the relationships and the plot.

Otherwise, excited to read the next one. :)

I LOVE THIS BOOK!

The characters, world building, the romance and the crows... It was an utterly fascinating read and i can't wait for more!!!

Anthia is the imperfect heroine we all needed. After seeing her mother die and her kingdom perish to ashes, she suffers in depression while her sister Caliza tries to fix the broken bits of their kingdom Rhodaire.
Now as for Illucia, Queen Razel.... This lady makes my blood boil and shiver in fear. The way how this queen defies expectations and rules a kingdom while leading an army is truly astonishing .
Now as for the boys that steal our hearts....
Ericsen- his cool, arrogant expression is quite an excellent façade of the vulnerable guy thay wants approval from his mother as well as fall in love with Thia. He struggled for a while to get her not to hate him, but as they grow closer, he really does move earth and sky for her.
Caylus- i thought he was this random cute guy who wouldn't be relevant, but how wrong I was. He becomes so important and my heart aches for all his suffering, but his shy, bumbling ways and how he memorizes Thia's favorite tea and pastries is truly heartwarming. As thia falls in love with him, I love them so much even though he likes her, he hasn't really admitted what he feels for her. I love how Thia was the one who made the move.
Kiva- I love her so much!!! I really thought she was going to die, but thank god she didn't and at first I thought she was on love with Thia or something.... And while that's still a possible idea, I really love their friendship and I pray she gets better.
Overall, great book! Definitely a must read! I absolutely need to read more!!!!
