I really like this short story. It has a definitive mood throughout that is palpable and the ending is perfect. A quick read, highly recommended. Read it tonight!

I'd read this once before, and didn't enjoy it as much. This time, though, I loved it. The sense of frustration that one's life isn't what one thought it should be, that one must repress so much of what makes one oneself. Beautiful.

I really enjoyed this one! As usual, Max Gladstone has turns of phrase that make me need to stop reading and whisper, "damn, that's good". Loved this take on vampires!
