Sadly DNF at 60%. I raced through the first book and was so excited to get straight into book 2 after that cliffhanger.

*** Warning, very mild spoilers below ***

I just couldn't finish this. I never abandon books part way, but this was already feeling chaotic and I wasn't enjoying the character dynamics. Then there was quite a disturbing scene and the characters lost their appeal completely after reading about the glee with which they contributed to the torture of another character, however much said character may have deserved it.

The storyline is great, and the sweeter romance aspects were good, but they all became so sex-crazed at the most random times. I didn’t feel like the moments always gelled with the plot/storyline. The way it all comes together was unexpected with a fun twist at the end. Overall it’s a fun witchy Duology.
