The Unbound Witch

A disappointing sequel, Kirsi didn’t need her own POV because it entirely took away from Raven’s story and made her character development fade away to nothing. Very predictable storyline too but I still cried in the climax of the story. The ending was lacklustre too

Very Enjoyable

As someone that thoroughly enjoys books that 500+ pages, I understand why some people don’t. But don’t let that stop you from reading this because it’s a page-turner. My favorite thing about this book is that there is plenty of everything: action, romance, turmoil, and friendship. The plot-twists are great and well-placed, too. The only thing I personally did not like is that the POV’s were Raven and Kirsi instead of just Raven.

I recommend this book to those that love:
•The power of friendship
•Found families
•Romance
•Some spice but not too much
•Moments that squeeze your heart (painfully)
•Action/Fighting
•Phenomenal & lovable side characters
•Multiple POV

i loved it hehe

This duology was so well done! One of my favorite reads this year

This was INSANE! I can’t stop thinking about everything that just happened in this book! It’s probably one of the faster-paced books I’ve ever read and it’s definitely a blink-and-you-missed-it kind of book.

I feel like duologies are my thing. Standalones usually leave me wanting for more, so a duology provides a perfect balance. Unlike some other series, the second book was even better than the first one. I liked the plot twists, they kept the story interesting and intriguing. Also, I love when I develop a soft spot for side characters (Atty, I'm looking at you). It was a great finish to the duology, and I highly recommend it.

The reviews are not lying when they say this book is not as good as the first one. I was hopeful at first, even though I was not crazy about the Kirsi POV, eventually it grew on me. But nothing else really did. The big twist-I kind of suspected it in book 1 but then they appeared together and I thought, well I guess not. Turns out I was right. The rest of the story kind of fell apart for me, it got pretty slow in some parts, there was a lot of standing around and talking/planning. I did like the newer characters. It was really just the plot, it went slightly off the rails and not in a good way. I got lost a few times, just confused by what was happening. Raven and the king kinda lost that sexual tension and chemistry. Overall I wasn’t totally disappointed and I may even read the novella that takes place after this, but I did want it to be a little better.
