This was cute! It is very similar The Hating Game, but not as good. The beginning was extremely slow for me and the characters don't really hate each other? They actually really like each other but get annoyed at each other due to the situation they're in. I don't think the banter was super strong, but the book was funny and cute. I didn't like how Carter seemed different in Evie's POV than his own, I found that happened a couple times. I liked the friendships and the teamwork throughout the story, and Carter and Evie were sweet together-it was nice to read from dual POV's.

I LOVED THIS BOOK. The heroine was strong and had an amazing girl gang of other successful women, the hero was able to recognize his feelings and voice them, his best friend wasn't afraid to be openly emotional, and the plot was full of twists and turns that had me staying up late multiple nights in a row to finish chapters. This book might be the most perfect contemporary romance I've ever read. It was feminist, sexy, gripping, and made me want to immediately run out and read everything Christina Lauren has ever written.

I did not like this at all. this has to be the worst Christina Lauren book I’ve read at this point. The romance wasn’t great, plot wasn’t interesting and I didn’t care about the characters. I’ve also determined I hate office romances and the hate to love trope.
If you’re looking for a good Christina Lauren novel pick up “josh and Hazel’s guide to not dating”, “The Holidaze”, “My favourite half-night stand” or “love and other words”. Or if you want a good dark romance that has some hate to love elements read the corrupt series by Penelope Douglas.

Sorry but this was not it, i really didn't care for the characters and I kept skipping chapters. So you can skip this book for sure. It was so boring.

I love the chemistry of Evie & Carter, but sometimes the writing was really cringey. I love Christina Lauren's books, Love and Other Words is my all time favorite book, but this one just missed the mark on some writing. Overall the book had a great plot and ending. Evie & Carter are so cute. 3.5/5 stars
