Loved This Trilogy

This was so creative and new. I really enjoyed reading it. It’s so nice to find a new take on fantasy like this.

I'm sad it ended

This was such a great random find for me. These are the kind of protagonists I yearn to read about. It felt realistic yet fantastical and I absolutely love the worldbuilding.

Overall 4 stars. The first two books center around some really awesome women! And one is even older than your typical heroine. I was pretty surprised, because you know, male author.

Unfortunately,
Shara gets fridged in the last book for Sigurd, whose daughter had been fridged in the previous book. Not shocking, because male author. Look, I like Sigurd, and I know Shara sort of comes back, but still.

Ultimately I had a pretty good time with these books. Honestly I was dreading reading an entire omnibus at once but the series didn't dip in quality.
