Not a bad novel per say, but for a Crichton experience, it's beginning and ending held firm. But in the middle, it's as if a volcano lost it's steam. However, still a fun read and worth a dive at least once for Amy the gorilla alone.

The storyline is really good and the whole idea of it, but the book is very confusing with all the scientific data mumbo jumbo they put it. It really detracts from the story unless you are a scientist and understand all that stuff. There were parts that were really good but overall, it was pretty dissapointing.
