I read this a long time ago. I can vividly recall scenes and emotions, which means it must have been really good.

I finished this book out of pure spite.

Wild. Literally. Captivating mix of history and folk history and fiction.

This was fun to read- Crichton's pacing is perfect, and the characterization is thorough without being expositional. Tension is maintained throughout the book, even though the main conflict only appears at the beginning and end.

The conclusion felt more rushed than the rest, but wrapped things up well enough.

Michael…you’ve let me down with this one. I incredulously exclaimed ‘what?’ approximately 10 - 15 times throughout this book - and not in a good way. (It’s okay though, Michael. We’ll always have JP and Sphere. That’s enough.)
