Not as good as Jurassic Park. Slow sections filled with too much techno speak! Too much padding. Plot is hard to follow. Not enjoyable!

The plot itself was pretty interesting once they started their journey. However, this one needed some serious trimming. It had a bunch of info dumps that were not necessary to understand or advance the story, especially during the first half.
medium-paced

This book is hi-larious.

DNF 42%: I was reading this because I missed reading the Jurassic Park books that I had finished about 2 weeks earlier. Unfortunately there’s so much techno-babble that after 5+ pages of having no idea what the book was talking about- I decided to put it aside. To be fair, I had more knowledge about the Jurassic Park exposition than about diamond knowledge & perhaps I’m just not in the mood for a book this dense, but yeah, I couldnt finish it for now.

This book was a war to finish the gorilla part was fun but when Crichton started to go all smart about certain things.
