This book was actually too good. I kept wanting to recommend it to someone I'm no longer on speaking terms with so I had to put it down.

Didn’t like the tropes that were in this and I couldn’t get on with the slang and way they talked. Pretty sure no one talks like that

Was a cute, short read. The drama was crazy lol but very entertaining!

Not a book for me. Didn’t enjoy it, but really wanted to. The cover is beautiful, love the title, but didn’t rate the story. It’s the first book I’ve read from this author and I don’t feel drawn to pick up another one. However, I can appreciate that some of the descriptive writing was well written and the scenes sounded idyllic. I just felt that there is relationship building missing within the story line for the outcome of it. It all felt too rushed for me to believe the development.

I was uncomfortable with the conclusion of the book and feel that there was a lot at jeopardy, potentially lost with such a rash choice.

It wasn’t perfect. I struggle to say what exactly I didn’t enjoy, so I’ll think and save that for last.
I do love the talk of grief in this book. The nightmares and fear of moving on, for me at least, were spot on. There were moments that I teared up because I would could relate, though my loss was of a son instead of a husband. Either way, you’ll never be the same person you were before. There’s a sense of hollowness that you can try and fill in a number of ways. It can and occasionally does make you a so-called messy person. Meeting someone who also has lost someone or something similar can and does help develop feelings and emotions for that person Dash Which isn’t always a good thing. It kept me in a bad relationship for a while because I didn’t think anyone else could or would understand in the same way. Even though we thankfully aren’t together anymore and I’m engaged to someone spectacular and perfect for me, we are still connected by that bond.
So, yes. I do believe the portrayal of grief and bonding with someone over it is done incredibly well. That being said something about the romance itself just wasn’t doing it for me. I was more interested in what it stemmed from than what it developed into.
