The Straight Girl's Guide to Sleeping with Chicks by Jen Sincero

One star for perpetuating rape culture, misogyny, homophobia, biphobia, and blatant transphobia. Honestly if I could give Jen 0 stars I would, this book stands on highly problematic ground (at the very least, it's queerphobic) and Jen's execution only makes it worse. If you're looking for a book on how to please women (and have full consent between partners, something Jen does a great job of skirting around) check out Girl Sex 101. *This* book, however, is disgustingly harmful and only enforces the predatory stereotype of people who sleep with women (while ignoring bisexuality/pansexuality and bicurious folks by assuming there's only lesbians and straight women. Newsflash: if you want to sleep with a woman, as a woman, you're at least bicurious. That's literally what that means.) It's bi-erasure at it's finest, and--can I say again how disgusting and irresponsible this book is?

DON'T BUY IT. Get Girl Sex 101 if you're looking for a how to. In the meanwhile I'm off to toss all my Jen Sincero books because this is on par with the "J.K. Rowling's a TERF" debacle and I don't want queerphobic voices on my bookshelves.

Totally offensive. Could be called "The Insensitive and Internalized-Homophobia-Plagued Girl's Guide to Treating the People She Sleeps with Badly."

Good book!

It was not only a great read but it was very educational. Even if someone ultimately decides against it, it gives a lot of information about your own body.

I love the style and humor of this book. It is informative without being dry, and it is just as easy to pick up and flip through as it is to use as a serious how-to. Sincero includes references for everything from porn to dating services to legitimate information resources.

Problematic in many ways, including the embarrassing title, but I did appreciate the straightforwardness of it.

I followed all the tips and suggestions in this book and now I'm a lesbian. No longer a straight girl, I believe this is a one-time-use book. =/
