I think this would be a great book for other people, but for me, I just found it a bit boring. Though I do think it has a great atmosphere. It definitely feels spooky while you're reading it; good pick for Halloween!

Jacob goes away to a remote island in wales where he discovers a home for children with special talents. The same home his grandfather lived in when he was a child. Jacob quickly discovers that the stories his grandfather told him were true. The home is one of many and is run by a woman called Miss Peregrine. 

A slow start but it gets really interesting at the end. A real page turner. I will be buying the sequel to it. I really want to find out what happens. It’s not something I would normally read but loving it.

The beginning took me a while to get through, but when I reached a certain point, I couldn't put the book down!

I had been curious about this book ever since the movie came out and I enjoyed it. There are some character and plot changes, but I think the movie is actually a decent adaptation and I would recommend one if you like the other.
