Karin Slaughter books always start out a little on the slower side and then once you’re in, YOU’RE in! This was so good, and perfectly dark like all of her stories. At some points, the story was so sad it was hard to keep going but I couldn’t stop! I love how Slaughter takes a police procedural and gives it so much heart with her characters. I was constantly rooting for both female MC’s. Cults, small town vibes, and jaw dropping twists.. pick this one up!!

This is part of a series which follows the MC but this could 100 percent be read as a standalone if you didn’t feel like reading the previous book!

Look: is it a perfect book? No. I still don't fully understand how it ended. Do I love every book I have read in the genre? Yes, absolutely. I literally could not put it down

Edit: so it turns out I am stupid and this is a sequel to another book. That's why I was confused! I still enjoyed it even without some context haha

Who Killed Emily Vaughn?

Andrea Oliver has her first case as a US Marshall. A judge has been receiving death threats and Andrea is on her protection detail.
But this assignment soon turns into something more as Andrea is drawn further into the cold case of Emily Vaughn.

I read The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter and I was like - wow, that was pretty good. Thrillers usually don't catch me off guard.
Then I read Pieces of Her and I was like... Wow.... two for two.
Then I read this one ... and I went out and purchased 5 Karin Slaughter books.

If you want a thriller that is fast paced with GOOD substories, and not pointless filler substories check this author out.
