I liked this one! Good world building and character development. I thought the plot was maybe a little weak at times but overall it worked for me. I will read the next books in the series.

I think I maybe even liked this book better than the author’s Polaris Rising trilogy because there was a strong sense of found family and camaraderie among the ship’s crew in this book, which I like. The FMC in the other series were rather isolated from each other, despite being sisters.

A highly addicting space opera. I forgot how much I love this type of sci-fi. So much fun to read.

DNF

I was craving a high stakes space opera and I got….nothing. This whole first third of the book describes nothing important or interesting. It’s just chapters of mundane overthinking from a character that is BOOOOORING. And the side characters are even more vapid and immature and uninteresting. They’re all insufferable because they’re unmemorable and intolerable. I’m giving up
