rocaseres's review

Algunos cuentos me parecieron un poco melosos, pero en general creo que la autora tuvo ideas originales sobre temas cotidianos como matrimonio, religión, relaciones familiares y deseo.

Amazing and magical! An excellent collection of short stories!

I have mixed feelings about this book. I don't know, it's not that I hate the stories nor I love them but I have to admit that the stories are very engaging, I can't put down the book. I finished all six short stories in two hours.

I don't know why I bought this book in the first place. I read Kitchen before, which I have neutral feeling towards it. (I completely forgot about that novel I have to search my review of that book from my blog - I read it in 2008!) I don't really love (or hate) Kitchen, so I don't really know why I bought this one. One thing for sure Ms Yashimoto is definitely a gifted writer. I just wish I could read her works in the original language.
