“You must accept that there will be things in life that are not good, but they are outweighed by the good things. If there were no bad, we would not appreciate the wonders that life has to offer. There will be fear, but you must not let it win.”

Wasn’t a fan of the tropes in this one, and the FMCs internal monologues are getting a little too similar for my liking. At least the MMCs have some variety to them.

I will say though, I am glad that we finally addressed the trauma that these girls went through on the ship and that was tastefully and respectfully explored.

I feel a little bad that I wanted this one to hurry up and end so that I can get to the next one because it is going to be juicy and I can’t wait for a proper enemies-to-lovers.

The only part I didn't like was the competition. But other than that, these two were my favorites. So wholesome and comforting. I loved the emotional work through trauma in this book. Another excellent book addition to the series.

I really liked Tiffany and Sahluk’s love story. I liked the pacing and them slowly getting to know each other and Sahluk’s patience and understanding for Tiffany. I  couldn’t stomach reading about Tiffany’s SA but I did appreciate that Dixon didn’t just skip past it. It became something that Tiffany was able to work through, and not just magically fixed because Sahluk was there.
Josie’s IUD falling out is hilarious to me like just plop no more IUD
