Spice is still cringe. Some of the descriptions sounds like a teenage boy wrote them, and the "plot twist" was weak. Seen it coming from the first book, but again I still like the story....probably because talking animals

I wanted so badly to like this one, so I could continue the series. It’s just more of the same, too similar to book 1 to be anything exciting. And *spoiler alert* I am so over using memory loss as a plot twist.

This book is significantly better than the first book and is the only reason I am anxiously awaiting the third book. I can't get Wolf out of my head and want to know what happens next. This book gave us a much more in-depth look at Rian as a character, and I'm excited to see how that plays out in the third book. Sabine has never been my favorite heroine. I love her little snow white, talking to animals, fair but can be lethal thing she has going on. However, I just don't find her that interesting beneath her godkiss. If she did not have that special ability, I don't think she would be an interesting heroine.

So many surprises during this story I was completely hooked and wanted to both binge it and savor it at the same time. We took a dive into the world building with this book and discovered new lands along with some new godkissed powers and beasts. This book had me rooting for characters I didn't want to and then turning it around into dislike again.

All I can say is the second half of the story was fast-paced and I loved seeing the Everlast and the events around it. This ending leaves you on a what the heck ending and I have no clue what is about to happen to our characters.
