I am speechless after reading this masterpiece. Book one was one of my absolute favorite reads of last year and I can confidently say book two is even better! I was on the edge of my seat while reading as this book took twist and turns that had my heart pounding. The tension, spice and deception were divine and Evie’s descriptive writing will have you feeling like you are right there watching the action. Also the spice in this book is so perfect you’ll be fanning yourself.
Book two picks off right where one left off as Sabine gambles for her freedom and continues to struggle with her anger towards her betrothed and her bodyguard. Expect everything to change and nothing to be as it seems as the ever looming threat of awakening fae lies ahead. Once again you’ll be left reeling and begging Evie for book 3!

I liked this book, possibly even more than the first book!
I really loved how much description we got for the romance. How much growth we got of Basten and Sabine’s love as well as their own internal growth. Dare I say I’m obsessed with Sabine. She’s awesome!
I will say I was hoping to get more from Rain’s character. I wish we could have had his POV in this book because he’s such a hard nut to crack but I really like his character and think there is a lot of potential there.
The ending STOLE MY BREATH AWAY! I’m so excited for book 3 I can’t WAIT to see where this goes from here! I’m crying!

I love this series. The drama and tension is delicious and the MMC is perfection.
Despite characters seeming to do nothing with crucial information they uncover through the course of the book, the story moves along and resolves just about everything. There were at least two plot holes that disappointed me, but they were minor in the end and the book was still enough fun to devour in a day.
Definitely recommend this series.
