This suffered from second book syndrome. The dialogue got very cringey & I found the motivations of Rian very shallow. I almost DNFed it at some point but the last 1/4 picked back up again.

Excellent sequel! This book delivers on forbidden romance, spice, political intrigue, and action.

I was very surprised by Rian, tbh. I was almost shipping him and Sabine. Everyone loves a villain, right?? But alas, Wolf still has my heart. He is still a lot grumpy, possessive, and wants Sabine. Sabine holds her own and I liked that she didn’t fall to Wolf’s feet after he drops her off to Rian.

This book was totally captivating and written so well. I can’t wait for the third book!
