I ate up with second book in the series. I enjoyed getting to know the characters more and how far they’d go for love.

Second instalment in this amazing series about Sabine Darrow the Volkany Princess/Winged lady, and her enemy-to-lover-back-to-enemy love interest Basten. We had a cliffhanger at the end of the last one and everyone is trying to hide that Sabine is the magical kingdoms long lost daughter. She figures it out by tricking her obnoxious father about halfway through. Her father and the odious father of Lord Berolt are despatched with in this novel. Good riddance to bad rubbish. They have sex on an altar thing and basically Basten has to fit his way out a a death arena to win the right to live and love Sabine. Just when everything is sorted and Rian lets them go at Berolt’s funeral, after making Basten swear he will never claim his true birthright they are ambushed by the fae Goddess Iyre who steals Basten’s memories and drags Sabine back to Volkany.
