for whatever reason, the reigning emotion felt for me throughout the book was melancholy - especially the early middle part. more than alys, i felt the most compelled by qitty's storyline and wish that was properly addressed and resolved instead of once again having a fat character as a background device.
Moderate: Body shaming and Fatphobia
Minor: Abortion

I genuinely laughed out loud while reading multiple parts of this book. It makes me realize just how annoying Elizabeth Bennett's character was in Pride & Prejudice.
Graphic: Body shaming, Bullying, Death of parent, Emotional abuse, Fatphobia, Grief, and Toxic relationship
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship and Religious bigotry
Minor: Abortion
