I was surprised how much I liked this book. It could be due to the fact that Aiden Snow and Teddy Hamilton narrated, but the writing was also addictive.

The main issue I had was the miscommunication at the end, that to me was stupid, but it didn’t last for very long which was nice.

Overall this was a lot lower of angst than I thought and I liked Henry and Evan together.

I need to quit putting myself through mediocre romances. If I don't love it I need to just drop it like a hot potato and move on. I would get more done and be a happier person. I just keep hoping "Maybe this one?" whenever I pick up something new and I hold out hope that it'll get better, but nope, it's the same trite clichéd bullshit as the last book.

Wow that a hot. Seriously I was so excited for Henry's story, and I loved Evan. Where I felt a disconnect in the previous book I felt everything I have come to expect when reading a Aly Martinez book. Loved!!!

Hmm. This was decent, but not great. It was honestly kind of funny, and I did love some of the pining we got here. However, something was just missing for it to truly be a hit for me.

The story is about a famous rockstar, Henry, who has a crippling fear of flying and a pilot, Evan: obviously they do not seem like a match made in heaven, but their encounters and chemistry soon proof that assumption to be wrong.
Henry, for some insecurity reasons, only ever dates straight men, and after meeting Evan, he assumes the man to be only into women, and he soon sets his sights on him in high pursuit. Evan, however, has sworn off men completely after being burned by one 10 years ago, so it takes a little while for him to give in to Henry’s advances. Nonetheless, Evan never really stood a chance as he was immediately charmed by the slightly neurotic but extremely humorous rock-god.

“Goddammit, Henry, you have to give me a fucking chance. I can make you feel loved. I can do it—I swear on my life I can. You are my exception. Never in my life have I been so sure about something.” I paused then corrected myself. “Someone.” Dropping my forehead to his, I whispered, “I’ll be the best damn King Kong you’ve ever seen.” A strangled laugh escaped his throat even as the tear rolled down his cheek. Using my thumb to swipe it away, I pleaded, “Just let me try.”

All in all, I enjoyed the banter these two had and I liked Henry’s vibe. What I didn’t like was the whole “I’m only into straight guys” thing as it was honestly ridiculous. When the whole conflict happened surrounding this “straight” problem, I was genuinely frustrated and could not help but roll my eyes repeatedly. It didn’t make any sense and it made Henry seem a lot less likable. I understand he was insecure, but still.
Anyway, aside from this particular issue I had, I did like these two together and overall, this was a pretty fun read.

Solid 3 stars.

This was given to me for an honest review....

Story concept was great and characters likeable. But honestly Henry annoyed the crap out of me. And the useless and pointless angst killed it for me. It wasn't needed. It was honestly stupid. Worth a try but just wasn't my cup of tea

Swoony pilot, smart-ass rockstar...yes, please!

What can you possibly complain about!?! The sexy pilot with a chip on his shoulder and more than just a carry-on of baggage (terrible joke but apt). Or the smart-ass rockstar with his set of demons dragging him down. They may not seem like the best combination due to my description but Henry and Evan are a delightful whirlwind of romance, baggage, and unstoppable chemistry.

The Spiral Down is pure romantic gold. And not to sound creepy but Aiden Snow and Teddy Hamilton can whisper, groan, and demand anything in my ears, anytime they want!
