This book was great! While i was expecting it to be mediocre (alot of anime/manga that gets hyped up on social media falls flat in my opinion), I fell in love with the story. I was so confused since i saw clips of it online but i wasn't expecting the plot to go the way it went. Its a generally amazing plot and the art style is beautiful. I love this book and can't wait to read the other books in the series 10/10

When I say this is unhinged... O.O "Oshi No Ko" is such a unique blend of idol life, drama, dark fantasy, and mystery that it just immediately sets itself apart from other stories in the same genre. Even having read the blurb I wasn't expecting any of what happens, and the last third of the novel had me FLYING through the pages. Yeah, it starts of reallyyyy weird, and at first I was hesitant about the direction the story was going, but everything kinda came together in unexpectedly neat ways. If nothing else, I'm super curious to see what happens next!
that was such a rollercoaster of emotions. i've seen chaotic, over-the-top first volumes to pull readers in but this one really blows the other ones out of the park. the look into idol life and just the entertainment industry in general was also really interesting and not something i've really looked into a lot before.

Jujur aja, udah agak males baca manga yang pake trope terlahir kembali sebagai orang lain. Seringkali fungsinya itu pemenuhan fantasi akan adanya kesempatan kedua, atau pelarian dari diri sendiri akibat benci diri karena berbagai alasan. Ada delusi kalau dirinya hidup sebagai orang lain, maka hidupnya akan lebih baik. Atau mendorong karakter untuk jadi penyelamat. Manga ini lebih berat ke yang ketiga. Ia terlahir kembali sebagai sang penyelamat.
Volume ini berisi set-up dengan pace yang cepet. Di akhir, ada sedikit misteri yang jadi premis utama cerita. Ga jelek, tapi trope reinkarnasinya ganggu banget. Kaya ga ada cara lain aja.
