Metaphorosis contains 13 stories from varied subgenres of speculative fiction. The stories are a testament to how far human imagination can go beyond the realms of reality. Some of the tales left me awestruck at their creativity. I loved "Pyrrha" by Antony Paschos, "The Friendly Ghost" by Ashley R. Carlson, "Clod-Shodden" by J.J. Drew, "Good Boy" by M. Douglas White,
"Grow, Divide, Sacrifice, Thrive" by Jo Miles, and "Joy (Unplugged)" by B.C. van Tol.

While most of the stories in this anthology are really good, somehow the book lacked a cohesiveness. The stories worked better individually than as a collective. Also, many of the stories have a slow start and pace up towards the end. So after a nice quick end, to start off a slow-paced narrative once more was dissatisfying. I would still recommend this book but would suggest to pace out the rating to 1-2 stories a day. That way, you'll enjoy each individual story better.
