3.75. Took a bit too long to figure out what was going on, but when I did I enjoyed it.

DID NOT FINISH

I got this book sent for free by Penguin Random House for an honest review.
I tired reading this till the end but it wasn't working out for me. This was a sort of whacky, peculiar magically realism that i am not really into. Their are multiple point of views that really take a while for you to sink into and not get confused.
Halfway through i couldn't take it anymore and decided to skill ahead to the last chapter. Err i didnt care much for it, nor it was mind blowing.
.
So yeah if you like peculiar book with magical realism and multiple pov's this book is for you. It also have LGTBQ characters.

Read as an audiobook (great cast!)

4.5☆

"Spellbook of the Lost and Found" starts with the aftermath of an Irish town's annual summer party: for some the happenings of the night are blurred, but all have lost something that night.

The book follows several POVs (don't worry, they're easy to differentiate), it's written in a wonderful atmospheric way and there's tons of mysterious things happening during thunder and lightning!

Multiple characters are bisexual and there's disability representation as well (a character who has an hearing aid).

It's quite dark at times, it's feminist, it's got some twists coming for you and it has a couple of content warnings you should have a look at.

I'd wholeheartedly recommend this one to everyone who's looking for a witchy read right now!

Though a little slow, this one is well worth the wait. Creepy, atmospheric, twisty, and sensual. Recommended.

A really interesting book to read for fall and Halloween time. I liked the concept of if you want to find something you have lost there is always a price and not everything is meant to be found from the spellbook of lost and found. I really liked each of the characters and all of the story lines. I liked how it was written and how it ended. Not exactly a book I will actively tell people about but still a good book!
