Ozroth, you spicy pumpkin spice loving Demon, you. Just a fun, engaging, exciting read all the way through. Such a fun take on the demon soul possession, the banter truly had me laughing out loud, which is a tough feat with books. The characters were unique and lovable, each vulnerable and tough in their own regards. Mariel was smart, but insecure at the start, deeming herself unworthy of success and love -
but her growth in all aspects was so great to see, ending selfless, powerful, and strong!
Oz was dark, brooding, but fragile, kind, loving, and scared.
He had me kicking my feet, just the sweetest, smartest lover boy.
I loved the side characters, supportive friends, complicated family dynamics. I truly couldn’t predict what the ending was going to look like,
but I love that it turned the trope of “becoming mortal and living forever” on its head, instead choosing love and mortality.
I’m excited to see as Calladia’s bad ass character continues on! Just such an enjoyable quick paced, paranormal romance, in a magical Gilmore girls town, such fierce friendships, and fiercer lovers.

Could’ve easily been 100 pages shorter.

They’re cute and the concept of a witch accidentally summoning a demon is hilarious, but the execution could’ve been way shorter.
