Gah Mariel is all of us who feel underestimated and undervalued! Expectations are real and she’s under excruciating pressure to be great. Really, same for Oz. His “career path” is do-or-die and he’s at a real crossroads.
I felt like their relationship developed somewhat naturally, which helped their barely-enemies-to-lovers element. Mariel is such a kind soul, she really has no enemies to speak of. But I appreciated her skepticism about Oz and his “deal” the whole time.
Female friendship is at the forefront too, which I always love. I’m excited to see what happens with her trio, even if the terrible mentor is involved.

big cozy Halloweentown vibes. I loved how cute this book was. it was very cheesy corny, but I ate it up! while I think the characters could have been developed a little more thoroughly, I still enjoyed reading about them. the magic was cute, the action was fun, the romance coulda been written a little better.

This book is fun and horny (ha! Pun intended!) and sweet. I really liked the chemistry between the MCs, and the supporting cast were great. Excited to read the other books in the series!

This was cute. I liken it to a straight version of Magnus and Alec. However, I don’t know how I’m gonna feel about the second book considering the MMC was the antagonist of this book.
I didn’t expect to be the person who loves romance books but this one got me hooked! I absolutely love the campy feel of it, yes it’s extremely cheesy but for some reason I didn’t mind it (which I usually do). Granted there is smut which gave me a shock of a lifetime, but hey I didn’t mind those scenes either. A definite recommend and I will be getting the next book in the series.
