I’m sure it’s fine but it just feels very young and like all of the other dystopian school YA books, like Divergent and such. Just not interesting enough to capture my attention.
Wow. This book kept me gripped from start to finish. Think older Harry Potter vibes with some zodiac academy. Without quite as much bullying. (I'm not a bully romance fan)
I loved the cast of characters we got to know and absolutely cannot wait to see Coen and Rayna again. Especially after that cliffhanger.

I really loved the vibes in this book. And idk if this is a negative or a positive or just “is” but I feel like almost nothing happened during the entire book, while also feeling like a shit ton happened? I am stoooooooked for the second book, whenever that will be.

Don’t walk, RUN, to get this book, it’s a gem! It’s a bit of Harry Potter, Divine Rivals, and Shadow & Bone rolled into this beautiful masterpiece. I fell in love with a few of the non human characters and love the dark themes that the author embraces.
