I just laughed for 6 straight hours. Anna, will you please give up your lucrative acting career and move to my humble Pittsburgh suburb to be my best friend and re-binge early 2000’s television on Netflix with me? I think the opposite might be tricky.
I know I’m 7 years tardy on reading this one, but better late than never definitely applies in this case.
What I loved about it, aside from the impressive humor that aligns so perfectly with mine, was that she put it together in a way that you don’t have to know her resume or watched all of her movies to appreciate her stories. There are definitely anecdotes from her times on set, but she doesn’t linger on them. She just makes you laugh like your best friend was telling you a story of that one time she did something crazy in college even though you didn’t go to college together.
She’s relatable, she’s candid, she’s a GD delight. An IRL friend texted me after seeing that I read this and told me she’d met Anna on a commercial shoot for one of her clients and she’s every bit as adorable and badass as her memoir lets on. Honestly I’ve never been more jealous of this friend.
