Re-read 2021: Ah yes, this volume. I still think it is bad that they just pull Yamato out of school with only one year to go. Hello? This is the most important year + you can't just pluck her out of her home and her friends like that. I am sure there is another solution. So yeah, while maybe not the best thing to do, I did think it was great that Yamato did that thing she did in this one and just stepped up. Just did something selfish. Just for a bit. I felt so sad for her. I am glad it is just one year, but that is not going to be a fun year for her. Stuck in a strange country, not speaking the language (or English that well).
As for the Tanaka stuff, I am glad that worked out but BOY that was just frustrating to read. :|
I loved the bonus story though. I am glad Takeo did what he did.

----------------------------------

I was waiting for both 12 and 13 to be out so I could read and finish this series without having to wait.

And I am so happy I did that, as this book ends on a certain point. Yes, I am not rating this volume too high. Why? First up because the first part is about Tanaka, a highly annoying character that I feel should never have been added, especially given what happens when Takeo and Suna finally get through him. I was really rolling me eyes. Was all this needed? Couldn't we just have more Takeo x Yamato? So yeah, I struggled to get through the first part, and then the second part came.

I had already heard stuff about this manga's ending, but I hadn't expected them to be true and so stupid. Is it really necessary to have Yamato leave Japan? To have her move with her family to freaking Spain? It just felt silly, especially since they are in their last years and are starting to think about college. I was actually hoping to see them go to college together, but then BOOM, transfer.
Also I don't get why Yamato can't just finish her school here? She is almost done, it seems stupid to just transfer her to a country with a language she doesn't know + she isn't that fluent in English.

I was a bit angry at Takeo for how he couldn't see why Yamato ran away (and took him with her). He found her unreasonable. Yes, it was a bit silly and over the top that she just ran away (and apparently no one cares to ask about how old these 2 are), but I can understand. She just wants to be selfish for once. Her dad also said she never did anything for herself. Not truly at least. She wants to be with Takeo for a bit longer.

The last pages of this chapter had me in tears. Poor Yamato. I do hope the next volume will still have these two together though, I will definitely be unhappy if it turns out they broke up/found different people. I have been rooting for these two so long, and it just feels cheap that the author made Yamato have to go to Spain. :|

I do want to say that I just adore how the parents gave Yamato space during this time. Sure, they were worried, but Takeo was updating them and Suna with all the latest information. I am glad they decided to just let Yamato be selfish for a bit.

Ah, and I just love Suna and Takeo's friendship, they are really fantastic friends. Plus in that bonus story? It was amazing what Takeo did for Suna there.

So yeah, I will be reading the last volume as soon as I have this review up. I want to know what happens in the last volume. I want to know if they stay together (marriage, please!).

My Love Story!!, Volume 11 by Kazune Kawahara was so good, it made me feel so many emotions and it's one of the few volumes that made me cry. In the first part of this manga Sunakawa has befriended the new transfer student but Takeo gets word from an old friend that the new transfer student is not what he seems. The manga starts off with Takeo on his way to confront the new transfer student, in an effort to protect Sunakawa. In the second part of this manga Yamato has a secret that will change the course of her relationship with Takeo, how will they navigate the issue together? In the third part of this manga Sunakawa heads to a bookstore with Takeo to pick up a "practically sold out" rare book. In the fourth and final part of this manga Takeo and Sunakawa talk to their guy friends at school about "dark pasts" and who's had one.

This manga made me feel a range of emotions, from sad (I mean I was literally crying) to straight laughing the tears out of my eyes. I won't say too much, for fear of spoiling your reading experience, but I will say that I really enjoyed this volume. I'm nervous about the last volume, I honestly have no idea how the story is going to end.

Overall, volume 12 was amazing, like the earlier volumes of this manga. It was everything I want in a manga and more. I'm giving this 5 stars out of 5.

The first half of this volume, we get to see what happens with Tanaka. When Takeo figures it out, he becomes determined to make friends with the guy. But this leads to another glimpse of just how brutal Sunakawa can be. And just how great of a guy Takeo can be; he sees to the inner good in everyone, even when they're lying.

After that, there's some real drama with Yamato. This is another point for proving just how mature they are, but at the same time, reminding us that they are still teenagers. Yamato tries to do her best to make her parents happy, but at one point, it's just too much.

This plot reaction reminds me a bit of Kodocha, of which I think is a very nice comparison.

I won't spoil what actually happens, but I love the reaction. It proves how great a guy Takeo is, and how perfect him and Yamato are for each other. He knows just what to do for her, that even their parents aren't worried. It also says something that I don't doubt they'll be okay, and not because that's expected but because it makes sense. They really do have a strong, solid relationship. And then that cliffhanger...

I think the next volume is the last. Which is awful, but I am so excited to read it.
