This book will make you furious. Everyone needs to read this immediately. The statistics alone are absolutely shocking.

A short but powerful read about the prevalence of violence against women and logical arguments on how to end it. Harriet Johnson uses her experiences and passion to write a compelling narrative about violence against women. I recognised myself in her words not only as a woman, a survivor,  and an educator but as a Feminist and advocate. I will be returning to this book time and time again when I feel powerless to remind me to keep fighting

An informative and harrowing read which left me haunted by the injustices women face. 

To hear case study after case study of women being assaulted, abused, killed by people they trust is heartbreaking. Let alone, how there are minimal or no punishments given to those who abuse that trust. 
It is not okay that violence against women is seen as 'normal', it is not okay that the case studies detailed in this book do not come as a shock and it is not okay that more is not being done to change male behaviour and attitudes.

I highly recommend this book, even to those who may already be knowledge in this space.

Fantastic book which showcases the up to date situation of violence against women in the UK and how the police, society and CPS are failing us in this regard. It's condensed read but an excellent starting point to understand the above. 

Recommend to all.
