Enfin une réécriture de conte que j'aime. Je suis surprise également de dire que ça reste un mix du Conte de Mme Leprince de Beaumont ainsi que du dessin animé Disney. Tout pour me plaire en fait (en particulier la bibliothèque).
This was SO fun to read again. It's definitely on the more advanced side, reading-wise, but my girls were super into it!
I have to be honest I really liked it till the last chapter. There I felt like it was a quick tie up all the loose ends and end the book, however I really loved the rest of the story.
A delightful retelling of Beauty and the Beast. I couldn’t put it down! I especially loved how gentlemanly and considerate the Beast was. And Beauty’s backstory was covered quickly but succinctly to give the overall story some depth. Loved it!

This was a very traditional "retelling" of the classic fairy tale. Other than the fact that Beauty isn't actually beautiful, or at least doesn't think she's beautiful, there's not much deviation from the traditional story. That doesn't make it any less enjoyable though.
Like discovering the story for the first time. Just beautiful.
