Personally this was an okay start. The couple wasn’t much to my liking. Relationship felt nothing but sexual. Despite that i want them to find happiness. As for the plot it was an easy read. Didn’t take much to get into it but I found myself wanting to give more information but I guess that’s what happens when it’s a series? Do I regret reading this? Not at all

I am so mad! Usually, I don't give one star ratings - those books usually end up on my "abandoned" shelf. But I stuck around this time to find out what the killing spree was all about.
Turns out I shouldn't have. I couldn't have cared less about the female main character, Rebecca - I didn't like her one bit. And the book as a whole is so incredibly repetitive, sometimes I yelled at my CD player to just move on with the story already. Plus, as the story proceeded, I couldn't bear any more of that lovey-dovey baby talk between Rebecca and Hudson. And then in the end, the story was wrapped up rather quickly, providing some vague, random motive. Slap on a brief epilogue to make the killer
plan his escape and never ending quest to find and kill Rebecca and her offspring.
Sorry about my venting - just had to get it off my chest ;o)

Really disturbing: the frequency in which the main deceased *16 YEAR OLD* character is described as “sexy” “alluring” and “irresistible”. Really killed most of the novel for me.
dark
mysterious

Lisa Jackson and her sister Nancy Bush take you on a serious thriller ride with "Wicked Game". They have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Granted it took a moment to get there, but once there you'll want to know what in the world is going on the lives of Becca and her friends from St. Elizabeth's High School. In 1989 Jessie turned up missing. What happened to her? Some thought she was killed. Others thought she just ran away like she always did. So 20 years later some bones are unearthed. Are they Jessie's or someone else?? This one event started a chain reaction of events with her old friends from high school as well as the old cop that handled the case. My only concern with this book was how long it took to get to the climax, the beginning was really slow.
I really wanted to like this book. I knew what I was getting into when I picked it up, and it actually had a pretty good balance of paranormal and good old fashioned who done it. But there was this insane side story about pregnancy that was very unnerving. I actually checked the publishing date to make sure it wasn't written in the 60's when no one knew about birth control and having a child with someone's you've been seeing less than a month seems logical. It made me afraid that people like that not only exist but breed, but otherwise enjoyable brain candy.
