This book took me back to when I was OBSESSED with Lurlene McDaniels. And like her books, I devoured this one. Hearts of Hope is a novella that follows Bristol as her family is trying to heal amongst tragedy. Now a single mom, she tries to balance work and now coaching her daughters hockey team. Does she understand/know hockey? No. Does the mysterious stranger who came to town know hockey? Yes.

This book gives very much Hallmark but the Hallmark Drama channel. It was so good! I fell in love with Bristol’s character and her love for Violet. The genuine family dynamic of Bristol, Violet, Bristol’s parents, and Savnnah warmed my heart. You could really feel the closeness and support. Beau while semi closed off was quite the character. I enjoyed getting to see what was beneath the surface for him.

I really hope Lucy revisits and makes this a series because I would love to get to know them more.
