This book is so cleverly written. The plot is slow paced, yes, but you will find yourself on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens next. This book’s plot doesn’t just happen or unfold, but it evolves throughout the book like it has its own mind. The descriptions and metaphors are unusual and provocative.

So many metaphors and similes! They stick out like a sore thumb on every page, and yet I still can't understand whether that certain repetitiveness in structure bothered me. I liked this a lot. The in-and-out of deteriorating reality and the psychotic mental mess of it all was forged fantastically—and clearly with some personal truth to it. Reminiscent of Plath and Lispector.
