I actually really enjoyed this book. It was nice to get out of Bella’s head and get a different perspective on being a vampire in their world, especially from the vantage point of a newborn meeting the Cullens for the first time. It really fleshes out the small amount of time you see Bree in Eclipse.

Sad! I knew she was going to die but damnit if I didn't hope for it not to happen! So good.

Well, it's about time I start giving better reviews for the books I read. So let's start with an easy one.
This novella takes place during the events of the third saga book, Eclipse. We follow Bree Tanner, a young and struggling vampire, through the preparations to battle the Cullens.
Reading the Twilight series growing up, I always wanted to know more about Bree. In Eclipse, she only shows up once as an important piece to further the Volturi plot. As thrilled as I was to read a novella about her, I am glad to say I wasn't disappointed. I read this book in one sitting!
The overall writing style worked very much like Twilight, and I'd say it's fairly well written for such a short story. I enjoyed seeing the background of Bree's character. If you enjoy the Twilight Saga, then I recommend picking this up as well.

I was so excited to have an addition to the series after I finished the books. I don't remember my experience reading this too much though, so I don't think it blew me away. I'll probably reread it when I revisit the series.

I loved this book! It was so awesome to see Riley’s newborns up close and personal. I’m heartbroken for Bree and wanted so badly to save her from her fate. I’m dying to know more about Fred!! Also, it was so enlightening to see how Bree gave Edward all the information they needed about the Volturi because she had figured out so much. I kind of wish that this had been stated in the Saga, but it’s nice to get new information. I want to read Eclipse again now just to see if from a new perspective!

Enjoyable enough for a novella! The lack of chapters was a strange choice.
