Well crafted, beautifully written mystery that I am somewhat loathe to call a mystery, lest anyone jump to lump it with the whodunnit genre. This book is captivating, lyrical, dark and inspired. I would love to reread it in Spanish, but I'm not sure my vocabulary would pass the test.

I really loved the first half of the book. The characters were very fleshed out and the mystery was intriguing. As we get closer to the end, I felt that some ways the answers to our questions were revealed, was almost lazy, with characters just telling us information, instead of a mystery being solved, in a sense. Anyway, an enjoyable read.
