Wanted to LOVE it and there were parts that hit home. But ended up just liking it and slowly getting through it.

If you're looking for something to both break and heal your heart, I absolutely recommend Tiny Beautiful Things. It is part advice column and part memoir, but above all it is a beautiful, thoughtful, poetic, and heartbreaking book. I love the honesty in the featured letters, as well as how Cheryl Strayed weaves her personal stories with practical advice for the letter writers. Another lovely aspect of this book is that each letter can be read separately or as a whole, depending on the experience you're looking for.

This book was phenomenal. Did I agree with all of her advice, no—but it was heartfelt and authentic and honest. I laughed, I cried. I felt.
