I so wanted to love this book. I enjoyed "Inkheart" a lot, so I had pretty high hopes and expectations for this sequel. I had many ideas in my mind as to where the author could go with the story and was excited to find out where she took it. She did write about things I imagined she would, but the excitement of it was lost for me for some reason. Her character development fell so flat in this book and the plot droned on in such a way that it made me wish I had written the sequel for her instead! Quite a disappointment!
