7/10: Although I enjoyed reading this it was way longer than necessary and the ending fell flat for me.
I read this book a while ago, and then picked it up again after the corona virus came up. It always moves me because of the way it shows society, and all of the metaphors. Honestly, I would totally recommend this book to anyone. I normally don’t like futuristic books, but I loved this.
I wouldn't say I was disappointed, but it wasn't a glorious ending. Still a good trilogy and I would recommend it.
I forced myself to read this entire series when I was in middle school despite completely hating it (because it was a poorly-written romance) just because I had a weird completionist streak with the YA dystopia in the library and because I thought the covers were pretty.
Don't be like me.
Don't be like me.
The first two books were slow, but if you stick around and read the last one it is absolutely amazing. I recommend this book to everyone
"It's alright to wonder"
This is one of the many lines of this epic tale that keeps me thinking. Because somehow, this is our story. We've been living our life... everything, so routinely. We forgot that there are so many things left out there waiting for us to discover.
Yes, it's alright to wonder. It's okay to try different things from what we usually do. And it's healthy to remodel your life. And it's okay to be afraid of the unknown. And you'll fail. But you'll learn from your failure. And that would be your greatest accomplishment.
Failing.
Making mistakes.
And learning from it.
Because even though we live in a cruel world. We have a choice. A choice to let someone drive your life away from what you've always wanted. And a choice to pilot your own life.
To match your dreams to reality.
To cross barriers of your fears.
And to reach the top of your happiness

The last book in the Matched series, Reached wraps up the story of Ky, Cassia, and Zander. Although the book (and the series) wasn't what I was expecting, I thought Reached did a great job at tying up all the loose ends. I never fully connected with the characters in the story, and I felt that the talk of plagues and cures got a little tedious. Other than that, I liked the series overall. I didn't love it, but I liked it.
Anti-climactic and dull at times. Protagonist has too many rambling self-reflections poetry analysis to allow the story to progress and. So creates halts in the narrative. Should have stopped with one novel, in my opinion.
I wanted more. It didn't seem like enough in what was happening or how it all resolved.
like ms. coleman said, don't waste your life on bad books, im not finishing this one.
